Inter Milan contacted Manchester United to discuss the availability of Rasmus Hojlund in the summer transfer window, but a permanent switch to San Siro now looks unlikely
The hope of Manchester United that Inter Milan would follow their research with an offer for the misjueling of £ 72 million striker Rasmus Hojlund has taken a huge hit. Inter focused on two new strikers, after to finish second in the Serie A and then Paris Saint-Germain was hammered in the Champions League final.
But they spent £ 20 million on Parma's Ange-Yoan Bonny and are ready to give teen Francesco Pio Esposito more playing time. He closed a nice version against River Plate in the Club World Cup with his first goal for them.
That would close the door to a permanent step for Denmark International Hojlund, although Inter could still offer a loan option of 12 months with an obligation to buy. United is willing to listen to offers for every member of their team this summer after their disastrous season.
The 22-year-old was also associated with a move to Napoli, although their first-choice goal is Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez. Hojlund expects to start the season with United, after he was asked about his future during the International Window of June.
“I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United,” he said the Danish broadcaster TV2. “I look forward to going on a summer vacation and then I am fully committed to the project that is underway.”
“I know I can't get much to read things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030. I expect to play there, so I just get ready for a summer vacation and hopefully a good pre-season.”
Hojlund also enjoys working with Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim, as he stated in March: “I am focused on the task with Ruben because that project is incredibly exciting.
Does Manchester United Rasmus Hojlund have to sell? Say in the commentary part.
“Erik [ten Hag] Was of course one of the reasons why I moved to Manchester United. He did something good and was a talented coach, but it didn't work, and that's how it is.
“I am still very happy to be in Manchester United. It is the club that I have always dreamed of to play for. And I am really happy for Ruben. He is a cool character and a cool person.”
Amorim has also suggested that we still have to see the best of the Dane and say last month: “I am happy. Of course all the team has to improve, but the way he runs for every ball loses a lot of duels, wins some duels. But he is really happy with him, he just has to work hard and better things.”
