According to reports, Arsenal has reached a full agreement on personal conditions with Christhische Mosquera.
The Gunners see the 21-year-old center as a suitable cover for first-choice options William Saliba and Gabriel.
The movement is motivated by the hamstring injury that Gabriel suffered in April, together with the recognition that adding a new High-Calibre Centrum-Back would give them the chance to rotate Saliba from time to time.
The Frenchman, 24, started 35 Premier League matches last season after he played every league match in 2023-24.
Arsenal is preparing a new proposal for Mosquera after Valencia has rejected their opening of £ 12 million, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Noord -London club hopes to complete the deal for a fee of more than £ 17 million.
Mosquera came through the Academy of Valencia and joined at the age of 12 before he debuted for the first team in 2021.
Since then he has made 104 performances for the black and whites.
The 6FT 2 in Defender also has to see the U23's level for the Spanish National Team at the level of Under 15, but still has to earn a senior cap.
He was part of the Gold Medal-winning Olympic team of Spain last summer and made 36 performances for his country.
