Nico wants Barca to include registration guarantee in contract, Club Reject

On 30 June, according to the report of the Spanish media “Sport”, the transfer from Nico Williams to Barcelona has currently reached a standstill. Barcelona is worried about the current situation.

It has been reported that Nico and Barcelona reached a verbal agreement about the transfer last week. However, if it concerned placing the transfer in a contract, the negotiations were stuck. The reason is that the player has requested a written guarantee for registration through his agent and Barcelona finds this condition unacceptable.

Barcelona has previously had problems with the registrations of Olmo and Victor. Nico does not want to repeat the same mistakes and the agent has clearly stated that this request must be included in the contract. Barcelona has assured the player that the “Financial Fair Play” of the club will gradually improve and that they can complete its registration. Nico's party, however, believes that this is not sufficient, and the current situation has also caused dissatisfaction of Barcelona.

At the same time, Athletic Bilbao continues to exert pressure to control Barcelona's registration capacity. Bayern Munich also keeps an eye on Nico's situation. Subsequently, it can be seen how the situation will develop and whether the player will relax his requirements for registration guarantees.

According to earlier reports, Barcelona plans to pay the release clause of 58 million euros in Nico's contract as quickly as possible. According to the Romano report, Barcelona has already reached an agreement with Nico on personal conditions.
