Recently, according to official news, Neymar extended his contract with Santos until the end of December 2025. When he attended the press conference, he answered many questions, including talking about his peak period.
Neymar said: “I had a lot of peak periods. I reached peaks in Santos and Barcelona, but I think my football peak was in Paris Saint – Germain, that was in 2017, 2018, 2019 and even 2020, when we reached the Champions League final.”
“I think I could not stop while playing in those four years. But unfortunately I finally suffered from injuries. Injuries are part of the career of an athlete, but those four years were those when I was mostly prepared for playing.”
Neymar played six years for Paris Saint – Germain, and made a total of 173 performances and contributed 118 goals and 79 assists.
