Gervonta Davis believes Mike Tyson has done irreversible damage to his legacy by fighting Jake Paul.
The WBA lightweight champion, often branded as 'Mini Mike Tyson' for his small stature and ferocious knockout power, was one of 60 million people who tuned into Netflix for the fight of the year.
“Tank” watched as one of his idols returned to the ring at the age of 58 to take on a prospect more than thirty years his junior at AT&T Stadium in Texas on November 15.
It's safe to say that Gervonta Davis isn't happy with how things turned out.

Gervonta Davis reacts to Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson
Davis has delivered his harsh assessment of Tyson's lopsided decision defeat to Paul.
The 30-year-old was recently asked for his thoughts on the controversial bout while promoting his fight with Lamont Roach, which will take place on March 1.
Davis said, “Why would he even want to fight him, man?
'Who actually told Mike Tyson to fight?
“Yes, [it’s tarnished his legacy]. It certainly did. For some money.”
These latest comments represent a major turnaround from Davis in the fight.
In the immediate aftermath of Tyson's first professional boxing event since 2005, he took to social media to praise the former undisputed heavyweight champion, while also slamming his opponent.
“To the bozo who shared the ring with Mike, you're a total bozo for this and you didn't get the job done, damn it,” Davis wrote of Paul.
About Tyson, he added: “You will always be a boxing legend, whether you like it or not. There will never be another one and I understand you so well.
“All this shit happening right now doesn't mean anything.”
Will Mike Tyson ever fight again?
Mike Tyson immediately called out Logan Paul after losing to his little brother.
After taking some time to cool down, the aging fighter released a statement on social media reflecting on the medical issues he was dealing with before his comeback fight.
Tyson also hinted that Jake Paul would be his final boxing opponent.
“This is one of those situations where you lost but still won,” he wrote on X. “I'm grateful for last night.
“I don't regret being in the ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions.
“I lost half my blood and 25 pounds in the hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight, so I won. For my kids to see me stand toe-to-toe and finish eight rounds with a talented fighter half my age, in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy Stadium, is an experience no one has the right to ask for. Thank you.”
Davis will certainly hope that Tyson doesn't tarnish his legacy further by retiring for good, but only time will tell if he can be convinced to put on the gloves again.
