Liverpool has set a price tag of £ 40 million for midfielder Harvey Elliott while the club is looking for potential buyers this summer.
The will of Fulham, Newcastle and RB Leipzig are reportedly interested in signing Elliott, who said earlier this season that he did not want to “waste for years” on the sidelines.
Elliott ended his campaign at a peak by winning the U21 European Championship with England as a player of the tournament that only kills his prize and ensures that Liverpool fans want to keep him even more.
Now his price tag has been unveiled by the athletic journalist David Ornstein, who reports that the Premier League champions have given a modest prize for the English international.
“It is therefore not surprising that Elliott attracts a lot of interest from elsewhere.
“Although Elliott was a peripheral figure in Anfield last season – he only made two Premier League start, both came after the title was recorded – Liverpool assesses him at a steeper price than (Jarrell) Quansah and (Jobe) Bellingham because of his contribution to the highest level at the higher period. His stock is in the past.
“Liverpool would want a deal for Elliott to produce a reimbursement of more than £ 40 million plus a purchasing option, or more than £ 50 million without.”
Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez are two other players who are linked this summer to the movements with big money, while manager Arne Slot remains ruthless when reforming his side for the new campaign.
Speaking of his future earlier this season, Elliott admits that he loves the club, but he may have to leave to find more minutes on the field.
“I now come to an age where I am 22, I will be 23 next season, and I don't really want to waste years in my career because it is a short career, you don't know what will happen,” he said.
“It can still be difficult, nothing causes me to leave. I love the club, I love the fans and the team that I also support.
“But, as I said, the most important thing is that it is only about what is best for my career and I just have to make that decision.”
