City to complete deal for highly sought-after teen star from Sheffield Wednesday

Manchester City has landed a Teenage Starlet from Sheffield on Wednesday – but the Stricken Championship Club is probably not a big financial benefit.

City will complete a movement this week for popular 15-year-old Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri in a deal that is thought that it is worth £ 1.5 million.

Mail Sport understands that the first episode is around £ 900,000 – a piece of money that could come a considerable boost for Wednesday if they need it the most.

Under the steward of deep unpopular owner Dejphon Chansiri, the South Yorkshire Club has been deposited in crisis and is again late with the payment of wages.

However, as with all transfers, the reimbursement initially goes to the competition before it is released to the Selling Club.

And since the owls are subject to a transfer membargo due to the money owed elsewhere, the EFL is expected to ensure that cash is settled before he goes to Hillsborough.

Last month on Wednesday a transfer limit with three windows received more than 30 days of late payments between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025.

The club reported the EFL of its intention to appeal against the decision, but was hit by a further embargo thanks to the rise of outstanding payments owed to HMRC.

While the tax man will be looking for payment independently, football creditors will probably benefit from the sale of wanted Cadamarteri, son of former Everton and Bradford City striker Danny, who scored 24 goals for the club of the club under the age of 18 and ended up as a top scorter under the EFL's Rule 47.

The move should have been a reason for those who on Wednesday and mainly to celebrate within the highly appreciated academy. However, it seems that they will see little benefit at a time when they need it the most.

Sheffield on Wednesday and the EFL refused to comment as the crisis gets deeper. According to The Star, the newspaper of the city, some players have now submitted their notification thanks to the continuous wage issues. Many received the salary of May late, while some received no payment. No money landed on Monday, the last payment day.

Chansiri has already been sued by the EFL with regard to the non-payment of player wages in March and May.

In the meantime, conversations with random manager Danny Rohl, with the club in disorder less than six weeks before their season opener in Leicester City.

Chansiri says he is open to a sale of the sleeping giant, but only for a price that meets his appreciation for a club for which he paid £ 37.5 million in 2015.
