Against the expectation in, Jake Paul became a legitimate world title candidate in 2025.
The YouTuber boxer has been beaten as a circus act for the most part of its career.
Things, however, changed when he changed Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. defeated a unanimous decision on Saturday evening.
The former WBC Middleweight Champion was about 10 years past its peak and fights with an unnatural high weight. Yet one of Boxing's administrative bodies believes that Jake Paul's victory over the Mexican is worth a world ranking.

Jake Paul comes in Cruiserweight Top 15
Before Paul Chavez Jr. defeated, the commitment to their fight was raised by WBA President Gilberto Mendoza.
Boxing journalist Lance Pugmire revealed: “Told by WBA President Gilberto Mendoza that wins tonight as @jakepaul, he will be elevated in the @wbaboxing ranking list, which makes him eligible for a title shot at the @zurdoramirezz or Dorticos champion.”
A victory officially earned a top 15 ranking and founded an unlikely world title fight in 2025.
The newest ranking update of the WBA shows Paul at number 14 on Cruiserweight, a place above fellow American Craig Parker, who has a 20-0 (20 Kos) record.
The 28-year-old, however, almost certainly does not have to worry that he makes his way through the ranks.
Paul's celebrity status means that he can jump the queue and take the WBA Cruiserweight champion later this year under a voluntary defense.
Who is the WBA Cruiserweight champion?
Gilberto Ramirez defeated Yuniel Dorticos over 12 rounds to defend his WBA (Super) and WBO Cruiserweight titles on Paul's newest undercard.
Ramirez, generally known as 'Zurdo', has a 48-1 record after mixing with the very best for years.
Pound-for-Pond Superstster Dmitry Bivol is the only man who has defeated the 34-year-old as a professional.
Ramirez showed that he was interested in a fight with Paul by going with him backstage with him the last weekend.
Only the time will learn whether that fight will come together or that Paul will go in a different direction after he will battle Gongs with Gervonta Davis, Anthony Joshua and Tommy Fury in the Ring after improving his record to 12-1.
