Co-owner of Manchester United had chosen one Premier League star as a potential signing since his arrival in the old Trafford, but it seems that his wish is being refused for the time being to be refused
Sir Jim Ratcliffe's offer to sign Everton Jarrad Branthwaite will now have to wait after he has committed his future to the Merseyside Club. The co-owner of Manchester United has long been admirer of the defender.
The Red Devils had rejected a number of bids for his services last year, while they also succeeded in agreeing personal conditions with Branthwaite. That was despite the fact that United Chiefs believed that funds would be low.
Ratcliffe was willing to release the wallet for Branthwaite, but he will not move soon and has quickly signed a new five -year deal with Everton. The 23-year-old is now tied on his current side until 2030.
Speaking of his new deal, Branthwaite said: “I am in the clouds. It is something we have been talking about since the end of the season and to have it signed now is something I am really enthusiastic about.
“The confidence that the club has put into me and how many games I have played in the past two seasons has made it a fairly easy decision for me to stay and continue as a player.
“I know the club. I feel loved by the players – we have a good group here – and the fans. In recent years I have seen the impact that fans have on us as a team and how much it means for them. And, of course, with the new stadium that we have here, the new property and the new manager, it is an exciting project and it is something I want to be part of.
“Moving to the new stadium together and having the first game at home is something we are all looking forward to. We want to go again and insist on a good season.”
“I have been to Everton for five and a half years now and I have seen the change that the club had had in the last six months,” he added: “It is very exciting for us as a team, as players, to let that go in the background and clearly start the new season in the new stadium.

“The ambition was a huge thing. The way the manager wants us to go as a team and what he wants us to do for next season and where he wants us to challenge a big impact on the decision. I think you saw what we can do by the end of last season.
“The manager has been really good, not only for me, but also for the group. You saw the change in results, the change in mood since he came in. He sends the requirements every day to get better.”
United now has a decision to take their defense. The Red Devils spent last summer in the middle of the middle with the signing sessions of Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt. But they now have a potential vacancy with both Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof who left the side.
