Mauricio Ruffy is one of the most exciting prospects in the UFC and is currently driving a streak of three fights since his debut in the promotion in 2024.
Last time-out scored 'One-shot' Ruffy a knockout of the annual candidate when he put old lightweight veteran Bobby Green asleep with a huge rotating wheel shovel on UFC 313.
Although he was already considered a future competition in the division, his incredible victory had the will of Jon Anik and claimed that he is a future champion and potential star in sport.

Mauricio Ruffy sends Ilia Topuria a message after UFC 317 Title win
Last Saturday at UFC 317, the vacant lightweight title was competing by Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira in which was a huge fight for the future of the division.
Topuria followed his run as the largest current star in the sport and scored a huge knockout when he put Oliveira unconscious in the first round to become the tenth hunter who won a title in two different weight classes.
Immediately after his title win, Topuria faced Paddy Pimblett, which may suggest that the Brit would be his first title defense.
Nevertheless, 'El Matador' a warning message was sent by the popular Fighting Nerd, who told the Spaniard to enjoy his time at the top for the time being.
“Get the best from this moment Topuria. I will definitely put you asleep,” said Ruffy in a post on X.
Although the Brazilian probably has a few victories to pick up first before being considered for a title shot, it would undoubtedly be one of the greatest lightweight fights in the recent memory.

Looking for his climb of the 155LB division and in an attempt to get a step closer to a fight against Topuria, Ruffy plagued that he has some 'crazy' fighting news.
“Guys just wait a little longer. In the coming days there will be something new that you will go crazy. Those who follow Ruffy and Root for me to be the champion, there will be good news for you. A very good fight,” said Ruffy via Agfight.
Ruffy was in the top 15 of the lightweight rankings after his recent victory, but after the title win of Topuria he was unfortunately pushed out of the ranking.
A fight that fans hope is a collision between Ruffy and Dan Hooker. 'The Hangman' is currently ranked number seven in the division and it would be an incredibly action -packed fight.
