Wayne Rooney was quick to praise his wife Coleen after she reached the final of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Coleen will be the last woman standing in the I'm A Celeb jungle, joining Reverend Richard Coles and Danny Jones in the final of the hit ITV reality TV show, which airs on Sunday night.
The 39-year-old has spent the past three weeks in the jungle, enduring bush tucker trials and the inconveniences of camp life, but has received plaudits from viewers for her handling of a particularly tough task.
During a court appearance earlier this week she was forced to drink cocktails made from mixed pig testicles and sheep anus, but viewers praised her performance.
But her former footballer husband was quick to celebrate her achievement on Saturday evening, taking to Instagram to share his pride on social media.
“Yes Colonel.” he wrote. “Made it (to) the last and last girl. We knew you would make it. All proud of you,” followed by a red love heart emoji.
Regardless of whether she is crowned the newest Queen of the Jungle on Sunday night, she will finally be reunited with her husband.
While Coleen has starred in ITV's flagship reality show, Wayne has weathered a storm with Plymouth Argyle.
The former Manchester United and England captain is under immense pressure with the Championship side, who are currently firmly in the relegation zone.
It is believed Rooney has just two games left to save his job, although his side's clash with Oxford United has been postponed due to the ongoing disruption caused by Storm Darragh.
After 19 games, his side have just 17 points with just five wins, and are currently in 22nd place, although 23rd-placed Portsmouth are just a point behind with a game in hand.
Argyle are in action against Swansea in Devon on Tuesday evening before heading to Bramall Lane and Sheffield United the following weekend.
