Dani Olmo offers advice to Nico Williams ahead of expected Barcelona move

Barcelona hopes to complete the signing of Nico Williams in the coming weeks, but things have not been easy. They had hoped to pay his release clause by Wednesday, but it does not seem that this will be done by reported complications that were created during recent conversations.

It has been reported that Williams is concerned about Barcelona's ability to register him at the end of the summer, and he has asked to be introduced to guarantees before he undertakes. This is now supposed to have happened, but there are still tensions – especially with his club, Athletic Club.

Nerves crawl into Barcelona's supporters and it is uncertain how Williams feels at the moment. But he has received advice from his possible future club teammate Dani Olmo, who spoke to the media on Wednesday (via Marca).

“In the end everything was solved. It is clear that doubts can exist because of everything that happened. I had the greatest confidence with the club. It was no problem that worried me and I could play.

“I know nothing (about the negotiations), but he is another very top player. He belongs to another club and has to be respected, but the best should play in Barcelona. He is a great player, he has shown his club with the national team. We already know how he would adjust, and I like to play with the best.”

Olmo is best placed to give William's advice, since he had canceled his registration by La Liga in January. But in the end Barcelona managed to solve the situation and he eventually missed only a few games.
