After their gaze in the cage at UFC 317, it seems that Pimblett Ilia Topuria will challenge the lightweight title in the near future.
Pimblett was critical of the Oliveira approach for the empty lightweight title fight that took place last weekend after 'Do Bronx' was stopped in the first round.
Although the fight may have ended quickly, Brit's head coach recently spoke about what they could learn from this matchup before they encountered 'El Matador' next time.
Instead of concentrating on what Topuria did well, the Pimblett team is able to use Oliveira's performance as an example.

In a recent interview with Submission Radio, Paul Rimmer spoke of the next generation of MMA about Paddy Pimblett that Ilia Topuria challenged for the lightweight title.
Rimmer stated that the team has been analyzing 'El Matador' for a while after he knew that they would be confronted quickly as soon as the former Federweight champion moved a division.
The head coach of Pimblett, who was also critical about Charles Oliveira's approach on UFC 317, said that 'Do Bronx' offers them a good blueprint of what they should not do when looking at Topuria.
However, this will not be the first time that the favorite of the Brazilian fan has helped them to get any invaluable value.

Rimmer also said that in his previous fight with Michael Chandler at UFC 309, they emphasized the mistakes of Oliveira to help them prepare for UFC 314, where Pimblett Chandler stopped in the third round.
“The best for us is to see him fight against light weights. Charles is great for us because he shows you what you should not do in many fights.
“With the Chandler fight we saw Charles fight against Chandler and then we used a lot of things that Charles did not do in that fight he should have done and we used that to come up with the victory in the latter.
“So we just looked at how Charles are fighting Ilia and there are many things you can see that you should not do against Ilia, so as I say, we learn constantly.”

Although Paul Rimmer believes that the best way for them to break down Ilia Topuria is to see him fighting against light weights, there is not many of those images that exist.
That said, the coach of Paddy Pimblett is also convinced that they are a challenge that is also difficult to prepare.
Rimmer made the argument that he is more difficult to replicate than Topuria because of the unique style of Pimblett.
“Everyone thinks that Ilia is like unbeatable bogeyman in this division and that you should fear him and all things like that. But Paddy's also on a long win reak and I can now tell you this, if you have to find a sparring partner who is exactly what Ilia is, I could find a better Ilia than a paddy.
