Angel di Maria on IG: “Today it's time for me to return home; my career in Europe is over.
Many years have passed, I have experienced many clubs and I remain fulfilled thanks to so many unforgettable experiences.
It has been 18 years in Europe, where I not only enjoyed life in beautiful cities, but are also part of great clubs, meeting great people and getting friends who will stay in my heart forever. Every incredible moment that I have lived has shaped me to who I am today.
Getting suitable, crying, getting angry, picking myself up and progressing, were also part of my journey and my growth, both as a football player and as a person, without a doubt.
I will never get tired of thanking every club for which I played-Benfica, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus-for everything they did for me, to help me grow as a player and as a person. In every club I was lucky to find good teammates and wonderful people among the staff (the chefs, kitmen, physios, doctors and all those people who sees or know nobody, who work tirelessly to help us). I will never forget them.
In 2007 I arrived very young, with my parents and sisters, full of fear and uncertainty, but little by little I grew up, grew up and today I am surrounded by their love and by the love of my wife and daughters.
Thank you very much, Portugal, Spain, England, France and Italy, for opening the doors of your country for me.
