William Saliba has given Arsenal a major boost by promising the French defender his future to the club.
Saliba has been a key part of Mikel Arteta's squad since bursting into the Gunners' starting line-up in the 2022-23 season.
The 23-year-old, who has made more than 100 appearances for the club, started 13 Premier League matches this season as Arsenal attempted to win the title.
Saliba's impressive performances for Arsenal have reportedly caught the attention of Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants have reportedly made the defender one of their top transfer targets.
Saliba, who has a contract until 2027, has insisted his future lies with Arsenal, while the defender insisted he feels 'at home' at the club.
“Yes of course, I feel at home,” Saliba told the Mirror when asked about his future.
'I signed for the club five years ago, but it's only my third season and I'm enjoying everything: the players, the staff and the fans.
'Of course I feel at home there, why not?'
Saliba has continued to impress for Arsenal this season, having been named PFA Team of the Year for the past two seasons.
He has helped the Gunners achieve the second-best defensive record in the top flight this season, conceding just 14 goals in their 14 games.
Only Premier League leader Liverpool conceded fewer, while Arne Slot's team conceded eleven.
Despite being seven points behind Liverpool, Saliba believes Arsenal can close the gap and claim the title after finishing second to Man City in the past two seasons.
“Everything is possible, the season is very long and we have experienced that in the past two years,” said Saliba.
“We just have to focus on ourselves, we're only in December so a lot can still happen.”
Saliba scored a crucial second goal in midweek to help Arsenal beat Manchester United 2–0 in midweek, a result that closed the gap on Liverpool.
Arsenal will hope to close the gap further when they travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Sunday.
The Gunners will be looking to avenge their loss at the Cottage last season.
