Liverpool Striker Diogo Jota died in a traffic accident at the age of 28.
Jota came through the Youth Academy of Portuguese side Gondomar before moving to Paços Ferreira, where he came to Atletico Madrid in July 2016 for a fee of € 7 million before he was lent to Porto.
During his time at Porto he made 38 performances, scored nine goals and the provision of seven assists, and in the next 17-18 season he was borrowed from Wolves, where he made 46 performances, 43 of which starts, scored 18 goals and the provision of five assists.
He joined Wolves permanently in July 2018 for a reimbursement of € 14 million and has since made 85 performances, scored 26 goals and the provision of 14 assists.
Liverpool signed Jota for € 44.7 million in September 2020, and since then he has made 182 performances for the club in all competitions, he scored 65 goals and delivering 26 assists.
At national team level he made his senior debut on November 14, 2019, and since then he scored 14 goals and gave 12 assists in 46 performances for Portugal and played in two European championships.
He won one Premier League title, one FA Cup, two EFL cups in Liverpool and two Nations League titles with his country, including one Premier League title and one Nations League title this season.
