‘If my name’s Dana White’… UFC legend explains how he’d book the lightweight title picture after Ilia Topuria crowning

Michael Bisping has explained what should come for Ilia Topuria after his UFC 317 title crowns.

Topuria achieved his double speed ambitions in his return to lightweight during the International Fight Week last Saturday Pay-per-View in Las Vegas.

In the Main Event of UFC 317, Topuria Charles Oliveira spread to claim the empty crown of 155 pounds and to follow rival Islam Makhachev on the throne.

Celebrations will be underway in the camp of the Spaniard – and even a day before his victory – but talking has soon changed on what should come for him.

And one UFC legend supports the claim of his countryman on the first shot in Topuria.

Michael Bisping Pitches Ilia Topuria vs Paddy Pimblett, Justin Gaethje to fight the winner

During a recent video that was uploaded to his YouTube channel, Michael Bisping advised the UFC to cash in the hype behind a potential resort between Topuria and Paddy Pimblett.

In the immediate aftermath of the UFC 317 Main Event, Topuria faced Pimblett in the Octagon, which promoted a rivalry that was fueled more than four years ago by the controversial comments of the scouser with regard to Georgia.

Although some see Arman Tsarukyan as the unmistakable top candidate and the threat of Justin Gaethje to retire if he is not selected, Bisping would compile the next Topuria versus Pimblett.

And 'The Count' even has a location in mind.

“Those are strong words from Paddy Pimblett,” Bisping said about the statement of Pimblett that he 'hates' topuria. “But perhaps that is what you have to do if you are the ranked no. 10 lightweight.

“Paddy, you could claim, is the least that she all earns. Justin Gaethje has been there with some of the best … He is number 4 … The number one is Arman Tsarukyan.

“For Paddy Pimblett to get this fight, he would jump a lot of people. But recommend … If people want to see this man fight like they do and I am the UFC and we have this huge fight …

“Paddy said it himself, there has never been so much hatred between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov since then, and we all know the figures that did that,” Bisping continued. “If I am the UFC, if my name is Dana White, I will probably book them both for Madison Square Garden. And Justin Gaethje, maybe he will get the winner.”

Arman Tsarukyan is not the only lightweight pushing back on Ilia Topuria vs Paddy Pimblett

After successful weighing if the UFC 317 -Back -Up and Charles Oliveira beat last time to earn his original title shot, Tsarukyan is probably disgusting that he should be the next.

With that in mind, Russian-Armenian has pronounced to accuse the new champion of him by waiting with Pimblett instead. And he is not the only one who is confused by the potential competition.

Another UFC 317 winner, lightweight competition Beneil Dariush, gave a grim prediction about the chances of the number 10 ranked competition against Topuria.

“Ilia's performance was a master class, you can't deny that guy, he is very good, he is the elite of the elite. As far as paddy goes in, man, I don't know why they did that,” explained Dariush on the Schmo.

“It's almost the case, I feel that you are feeding the child to the lions, but you never know, he may have something that we don't know for Ilia … It's like a sheep for the slaughter … I really don't know, but so far Ilia has not looked like stopping.”
