Atletico Madrid is reportedly set to make an improved offer for Tottenham -defender Cristian Romero, but it would still fail in their asking price.
According to a report from AS, Diego Simeone's side are ready to go all the way to sign the 27-year-old while looking for defensive reinforcements.
Tottenham is supposed to hold a fixed reimbursement of € 70 million for Romero, but Atletico hopes to negotiate up to € 55 million and another € 15 million in add-ons.
Romero is apparently very happy to move, recently talking about how much he would like to 'like' to play in Laliga.
The World Cup winner has two years left on his contract with Tottenham, but he does not seem to be much interested in renewing.
