Some fans believe that Arman Tsarukyan should be the next row for a shot on the lightweight title.
The #1 competition in the lightweight division withdrew from his title fight with Islam Makhachev on UFC 311 prior to the weighing by a back injury.
After weighing like the back -up hunter on UFC 317 last weekend, although this has yielded a title shot in the past, this does not seem to be the case for Tsarukyan.
Tsarukyan even blamed Joe Rogan for the face-off between Ilia Topuria and Paddy Pimblett in De Kooi who apparently set up the first defending defense of the new champion.
In a recent interview, the 28-year-old details revealed about the recent battles offered to him and why they did not happen because he continues to chase the gold of 155 pounds.

Arman Tsarukyan reveals why his fighting with Justin Gaethje and Mateusz Gamrot did not happen after UFC 311
In a recent interview about the Ariel Helwani show, Arman Tsarukyan was asked if he believes that his decision to withdraw from UFC 311 led to the promotion to him irritated.
He disputed this by stating that if the UFC was frustrated by his decision, they would not have offered him big battles since then.
Tsarukyan then shared details about the two matchups that were offered to him and why they did not flourish.
The top lightweight competition was one of the names that was contrary to replacing Hooker and replacing Justin Gaethje on UFC 313, but he claims that 'the highlight' instead chose Rafael Fiziev.
“It was 9 or 8 days earlier and I was 186 or 187 (pound). I said,” Yes, I will fight. I will save the fight, but I need a catch. ” Gaethje didn't want to fight me.
Tsarukyan also said he got a rematch with Mateusz Gamrot for the main event of the return of the Octagon to Abu Dhabi on July 26, which will now be held by Robert Whittaker vs Reinier de Ridder.
He spoke in an earlier interview about receiving a “disrespectful” offer to fight on this map, although he did not specifically mention that it was to fight Gamrot.
Although he stated earlier that he “better earned” than this matchup, Tsarukyan revealed that his decision to reject this matchup was due to both men who train from the American top team.
“We come from one gym and we train on the same mats. That is why I said, you can give me someone else because I no longer need that drama. It's so difficult to have your training camp when you fight a man from the same gym.”
Arman Tsarukyan claims that he would rather fight against featherweight than to go to goodweight
Although the current UFC light weight has spoken to champion Ilia Topuria about wanting to compete in welterweight in the future, this is not on the maps for Arman Tsarukyan.
The 28-year-old was asked during the interview if he wants to test himself in his career at a certain stage of his career at a certain point, but he quickly rejected this idea.
Tsarukyan also looked to dispel the idea that he is struggling with making weight, which states that this has become a false story after one comment from Dana White.
“Hell no. I would rather go to 145 before I would fight at 170. I mean Bro, Dana said that s – once. I am always weight.”
