On July 3, Diogo Jota died tragically at the age of 28 in a car accident. The Spanish media have since released photos of the crash site.
Reports state that Jota and his brother André Silva rode in a Lamborghini near the city of Cernadilla in the northwest of Spain, close to the Portuguese border, when their car had a beam blow while they caught up on the A-52 highway.
The vehicle then dropped off the road, rolled around and flew the emergency services on the scene shortly after 12.30, but could not save the two brothers.
Images from the scene shows the charred remains of the Lamborghini that have been destroyed on the side of the highway, in which rescue workers investigate the wreck. Visible Skid markings and fire tracks indicate where the car left the road and turned into a fire ball, while shattered parts and rubble were spread over the ground.
The accident took place on the A-52 in the province of Zamora an important route in Spain for drivers who traveled from northern Portugal to Santander and Bilbao or go to the northeast to France.
Emergency services in the Castile and LeĂ³n region confirmed the incident and death of both brothers at around 12:35 pm Thursday.
