Liverpool -midfielder Stefan Bajcetic joined the football world with the mourning of the tragic death of teammate Diogo Jota, who died at the age of 28 in a car accident.
Bajcetic went to social media to share a photo of himself with Jota, with a short but sincere message:
“You will be remembered, my friend.”
Jota came to Liverpool in September 2020 for a reported reimbursement of € 44.7 million from Wolverhampton Wanderers. In the course of his Anfield career, he made 182 performances in all competitions, scored 65 goals and offered 26 assists. His tireless working speed, versatility and talent for scoring in large competitions made him a key figure under Jürgen Klopp.
The tribute of Bajcetic reflects the feelings of sorrow and respect of teammates, former clubs and fans around the world when they come to terms the sudden loss of one of the brightest talents of Portugal.
