Darwin Núñez has given a sincere tribute to his teammate of Liverpool Diogo Jota after the tragic car accident that the life of Jota and his brother André claimed.
“There are no words of comfort for so much pain,” Núñez wrote on social media. “I will always remember you with your smile and a great teammate both on and outside the field.”
The Uruguayan -Voorwaart expanded his condolences to the loved ones of Jota: “I send all my strength to his family. From where he is, I am sure he will always be with you, especially his wife and three children.”
Núñez closed his message with “Qepd Diogo Y André” – the Spanish abbreviation for Que and Paz Descans (“may they rest in peace”).
