Barcelona took their attention this summer from the full-back positions, instead aimed at a winger as their top priority, after he had already concluded a deal for Joan Garcia in Doel. However, market possibilities are often pushed in their own way, and this has enriched its curiosity.
On Wednesday evening it was revealed that Denzel Dumfries was available for only € 25 million in the first 15 days of July, due to a clause in his inter contract. Sport explains that Dumfries has just changed agents and has accepted Jorge Mendes. His narrow ties with Barcelona partially explains why the Blaugrana was given the opportunity to sign the Dutchman, who destroys them in the semi -final of the Champions League.
The Blaugrana still has to make a call on Dumfries because they focus on signing Nico Williams and Joan Garcia. In theory, that deadline of that release clause would be an obstacle to Barcelona, but the reality is that Mendes believes that his price would be only around that figure of € 25 million anyway. Inter wants to sell to finance a new project, and the 29-year-old has left on his contract for three years.
