Newcastle has made an improved range of £ 55 million for Anthony Elanga and is about to agree a deal with Nottingham Forest.
The Magpies saw a package of £ 45 million last week, but we understand that considerable progress has now been made in the negotiations.
Personal conditions are not considered a problem, although there could still be interest from elsewhere. Aston Villa is said to keep an eye on the situation.
Elanga, 23, has been a long -term objective of Eddie Howe and there was a failed approach to sign him last summer.
The Newcastle -Baas is an admirer of the pace and output of the right winger – he scored six and assisted 11 in the Premier League last season – but he also sees room for great improvement in the Sweden International. If the deal continues, Elanga would be the first signing of Newcastle of the summer.
His former club Manchester United is also estimated to owe 15 percent of the profit of every sale. He joined Forest for £ 15 million in 2023 and scored 11 times out of 82 performances.
Forest would be reluctant to see Elanga go after he had contributed six goals and 12 assists to their brilliant season.
