Athletic Club and Nico Williams have reached an agreement to expand his contract, which would expire in 2027, with eight seasons until 30 June 2035. His release clause has been increased by more than 50% of the earlier agreement.

Nico Williams was born in Pamplona in 2002 and joined the 2013/14 season at the Athletic Club's youth academy in the 2013/14 season, a year after his brother Iñaki arrived in Lezama.
