According to Diario, even after Agent Felix Tainta Athletic 'intends to join Barcelona on 24 June, President Jon Uriarte continued to work on a new contract for Spain International. Athletic offered a deal that far exceeded the conditions of Barcelona, but it is a frustrating end of a Saga that again comes down to the salary limit problems of the latter.
The decision did not fall well in Barcelona, where sport explained that the news was confronted with 'disbelief' on the Costa Brava. The feeling at Barcelona is that their interest has been used, so that Tainta could negotiate a better contract and that Williams and his camp have not been honest with them.
