Fight fans are enthusiastic about the prospect that Conor McGregor makes a long-awaited comeback.
The former UFC champion with double weight has not fought anymore since he broke his leg during a trilogy with Dustin Poirier on UFC 264 in July 2021.
Conor McGregor spent most of his time on the sidelines talking about his return to the competition.
In 2025 it went quiet in that area until Donald Trump made a huge announcement on Thursday.

Conor McGregor receives 'winner Takes Takes All' offer
The 47th President of the United States has recently revealed that a UFC event will take place in the White House to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the declaration of independence
McGregor said 'count me in' while he teased a UFC recovery after Trump's shocking announcement.
Only two days earlier 'Notorious' received an interesting range of fighting from one of his old rivals.
Former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi, who since their sparring session in 2017 with McGregor Rund with McGregor, wants to do a 'winner, takes all' fights with his old arch enemy.
'Magic Man' is currently preparing to return to the ring in a bald-knuckle fight planned for September.
“Conor is a very uncertain person, he sold our sparring session in the full wrong way and he always tries to make me one-off,” Malignaggi told Talksport.
“Everything I do, he is always involved, I always respond, and I am never initiating it.
'You know he won't do it [the fight]. He doesn't have the balls to do it.
“I think that with Conor I would only do winner-tags it would generate so much money so that the winner would take the whole pot, whatever that is.
“I would only do it that way, it's the punishment he deserves.”
Who can fight Conor McGregor more?
Michael Chandler seems to be the leader who is confronted with McGregor in his UFC Fenceback fight.
The two men had to fight in June 2024, but a toe injury forced McGregor from their UFC 303 Main Event Matchup.
Since then, Chandler's Standing in The Sport has taken a hit after losing back-to-back in the Octagon.
Nevertheless, McGregor claimed that he has 'unfinished things' with Chandler after his most recent defeat against Paddy Pimblett on UFC 314 in April.
Only time will learn whether McGregor Malignaggi, Chandler or someone else will take when he finally fights again.
