Real Madrid recorded a very impressive 3-0 victory over Girona on Saturday and for Daniel Yanez it is a day he will never forget. He was included in the matchday squad after Rodrygo Goes had to withdraw due to muscle soreness, and was rewarded with a cameo in the final minutes in Montilivi.
According to Diario AS, Yanez shared his thoughts on making his debut when he spoke to the media after full-time.
“I dreamed of this moment for a long time, I was a Real Madrid fan since I was born. As a child I said it was my dream and it came true. Ancelotti told me to enjoy, play as I know, do what I do as my team and let go.
“They called me to come to Girona today and I want it more than ever, to be honest. It has been a very good year for me, I work my best every day and I hope there are more days like this to come. I am a humble person who has always dreamed of playing with the greats and learning from them. And that is what I will continue to do.”
Yanez is highly rated at Real Madrid and he will hope this appearance is the first of many he makes for the club of a lifetime.
