Real Betis' hosting of Barcelona on Saturday gave Vitor Roque the first chance to face his parent club, which he left during the final weeks of the summer transfer window. It has been a good experience for the 19-year-old striker so far, as he has been a regular starter in Manuel Pellegrini's side.
He started again against Barcelona at the Benito Villamarin, and before kick-off TV cameras captured the moment he hugged Hansi Flick as well as the entire visitors' bench, in what was hailed as a very classy gesture.
Recently, Roque admitted that he has struggled at Barcelona in the six to seven months since arriving from Athletico Paranaense, but it is clear that he still has a lot of affection for his former teammates.
For now, his sole focus is on Betis, and he impressed on Saturday when he won the penalty that led to Los Verdiblancos' first equalizer, with the match eventually finishing 2-2.
