According to CBS reporter Guillem Balague, Lionel Messi did not have any conversations with Saudi Arabian clubs and he remains in discussions with Inter Miami about contract renewal.
Balague explained:
“Inter Miami and Leo Messi are still negotiating a new deal. There has been no contact between Messi and Al-Ahli or another Saudi club.
My feeling, based on what I know, is that he will sign a new contract with Inter Miami and play at the World Cup. “
This update comes in the midst of speculation that the Argentinian star couples with a potential move to the Saudi Pro League. However, the Balague report suggests that Messi will stay in MLS and continue his journey with Inter Miami.
