Crithian Mosquera wants to leave Valencia for Arsenal this summer and has already agreed personal conditions with Premier League Club, despite the fact that transfer costs remain a bottleneck
Arsenal will have to increase a larger fee if they have to sign Crithian Mosquera from Valencia after conversations between the clubs “completely stuck” with the La Liga side that requires more than £ 20 million.
Mosquera has already told Valencia that he has set his heart to join Arsenal this summer. The Gunners had seen an offer for Mosquera, 21, rejected by the La Liga Club, worth around £ 12 million, early in the transfer window, while the Spain Youth International is also tried by RB Leipzig.
The defender is in the last year of his contract, which means that Valencia does not seem to have the strongest negotiating position. Last week Las Provincas claimed that Valencia Mosquera offered a contract extension to keep him in the club after this season, but the defender informed them that he wants to become a member of Arsenal.
Previous reports state that Mosquera initially wanted to expand his contract with Valencia – before he learned from Premier League interest. And their delay in setting an offer has apparently opened the door for Arsenal.
His representatives are supposed to have agreed personal conditions with Arsenal, who see the young defender as the ideal understudy for William Saliba.
But while Mosquera is sold during a move to North Londs, Arsenal will still have to pay a considerable fee to close a deal. Valencia is supposed to want more than £ 20 million if they want to punish a switch to the Premier League and the first offer of Arsenal has unhappy the hierarchy of the Spanish club.
A movement for Mosquera would mark another important addition to the Arsenal team with many substantial deals that are already in the pipeline.
Martin Zubimendi was unveiled last week after a move of more than £ 50 million had been agreed with Real Sociedad. The Gunners are also in advanced conversations with the Brentford captain Christian Norgaard to store their midfield.
However, a movement for a productive striker has always been the top priority of Arsenal, with new reports that claim that conversations with Sporting Lisbon are now in an advanced stage for Viktor Gyokeres.
Gyokees and Benjamin Sesko have been the two top goals of Arsenal for the new season, with the first now apparently the preferred option. A dive for a left -sided forward, possibly Rodrygo from Real Madrid, is also something that Arsenal wants to do before the transfer window closes at the end of next month.
There is a growing conviction that the Brazilian international will become available after he has fallen the pecking order under the new Bernabeu -boss Xabi Alonso.
