Liverpool and Portugal star Diogo Jota died next to his brother Andre Silva in a devastating car -accident in Spain, but Pedro Neto is determined to keep their memories alive by claiming the Club World Cup
Pedro Neto has dedicated the final of Chelsea's Club World Cup to Diogo Jota. Chelsea wing player Neto was a former teammate of Wolves and Portugal of the deceased Liverpool star who died tragically in a car accident with his brother Andre.
Neto admitted that it was “really difficult” to continue playing in the United States after he had lost his good friend, but now says that he is motivated to win the final as a tribute to Jota.
Portugal Star Neto said: “It has been very difficult in recent days and I just want to leave a message that this final is for him and his brother. It's really a difficult time for me, hard to talk about it and let's hope I can do it for him.
“But I want to dedicate this final to him and his family and show my support for them in these difficult times. We are really happy, very happy to reach the final and to get there is incredible. We are ready to win the final, play the final and we are determined to win it.”
Chelsea is now in the final of Sunday in the Metlife Stadium after seeing Fluminense in the semi -final and it could crown their season on spectacular fashion.
They won the Europa Conference League final and qualified for the Champions League with a potential trophy that would come.
Chelsea has not always been convincing and the jury is on manager and so Maresca, but Neto says they deserve respect.
Neto said: “I think the results speak for themselves and show how hard we have worked, we have done good things, worked very hard, we have improved a lot and we all think that there will be more of this team.

Chelsea also conquered 100 degrees-plus temperatures in the semi-final victory with the sun that knocks down, but Neto says that there could be no excuses for everyone after Joao Pedro's had won the day double.
Neto added: “The weather is the same for all teams, we are ready to play and we will give everything to win the competition. Joao is such a good player, he is really good, really dangerous and we are very happy to have him.”
