Inter Milan has joined the race to sign a Chelsea star who, according to a report, came to the club for £ 52.7 million.
The full focus of the blues was at the club's World Cup, after he has reached the final of the newly refunded competition, where they are confronted with Champions League winners PSG for the right to be crowned world champions.
However, that did not prevent them from being active in the transfer market. Joao Pedro and Liam Delap arrived for £ 60 million and £ 30 million respectively, while Jamie Gittens and Estevao have also joined.
But again, however, they have been left with a bloated team and are expected to discharge players when they have been to the United States this summer.
One of the players to leave could be Cristopher Nunku, who came to the blues of RB Leipzig two years ago, but struggled for consistency at Stamford Bridge and failed to tease a regular place in the team.
According to Gianluca di Marzio, Inter Milan is now the newest side that the 27-year-old from a route from the club after they have registered their interest in his services.
Manchester United is reportedly interested in securing the signature of the Frenchman and the blues seem ready to give him a distance from him, despite signing the 27-year-old for a six-year-old deal for a substantial fee just two years ago.
According to L'Equipe, the Red Devils have already made contact with Nunku, while a SWAP deal with United Autcast Alejandro Garnacho has been advertised the other way.
Bild states that Bayern Munich are also in conversation with the agent Pini Zahavim van Nunku, but so far little progress has been made.
Inter wants to rebuild their attack under new Cristian Chivu manager on the back of a tough campaign last year. They reached the final of the Champions League, but were humiliated by PSG and Simone Inzaghi left for Al-Hilal.
Speaking after the last game of Chelsea's last club World Cup Group, a 3-0 victory over Es Tunis, meanwhile, blues manager Maresca could not offer any guarantees about the future of Nunku, and revealed 'everything can happen' in the window.
The Italian boss said: “As Christo [Nkunku] Is here with us, it's because we think he can help us and he can even be with us next season. But as you said, there are many speculations, not just about Christo, about many players.
“And if something is going to happen, I don't know because we have often said that the transfer window is open, everything can happen in terms of players who can arrive or players who can leave.”
