UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture was seriously injured in a recent racing car crash that prepared for his debut in the National Hot Rod Association.
The 62-year-old Randy Couture was involved in a serious car accident in a racing circuit in Kansas City on Tuesday to prepare for his National Hot Rod Association debut later this year.
Couture, who entered the UFC Hall of Fame in 2006, suffered first and second -degree burns, as well as trauma and smoke inhalation in the accident. But Couture is expected to make a complete recovery and will be treated in a local fire center.

Couture made a practical run on a local track when his vehicle crashed. At the moment, the cause of the crash or what the timetable of the recovery of couture looks like is still uncertain.
The news of the accident was first reported by TMZ Sports and later confirmed by MMA Fighting and MMA Junkie through one of the representatives of Couture. Couture is currently admitted to the hospital and has not made a formal statement about the accident.
Since he retires, Couture has settled as one of the top analysts of MMA, most recently with the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
Only weeks ago Couture opened in an interview about his love for racing and his intention to compete.

Couture is one of the handful of two-part UFC champions in the history of the promotion. UFC Lightweight Champion Ilia Topuria became the newest second division champion when he eliminated Charles Oliveira on UFC 317.
Couture withdrew after a knockout loss for Lyoto Machida on UFC 129. His last victory came against boxing legend James Toney on UFC 118 and served Toney in the first round.
Couture won the UFC Heavyweight Championship by beating Maurice Smith in 1997 before he left the belt in the midst of a contract dispute. During his career he defeated the will of Pedro Rizzo, Chuck Liddell and Vitor Belfort.
