Arsenal is close to 'giving up' a deal for Viktor Gyokeres, after he still has not reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon on a financial package for the sought -after striker.

But a delegation led by Andrea Berta, the new sports director of the club, was unable to have a deal with sport during face-to-face conversations in Portugal recently.
