The former captain of Brentford arrives with many who expect him to be used as a defensive midfielder in the 4-3-3 system of Mikel Arteta.
But the Dane has said that his game is more than the break -up of playing and starting movements of Deep – started as an attack player as a young person.
“It has been a bit developed over the years. I started as a more attacking player and now I am a bit more a midfielder,” Norgaard said. “It is important for me that a team has a good defensive structure and hopefully I can contribute to that.
“Then from a season in which I have had a lot of goal involvement, it is something that I really hope that I can also take this season. I don't know what the Gaffer plans are with me, but hopefully I can also have the freedom to participate in the offensive game.”
Norgard, 31, will be the third new arrival of the Gunners of the summer after Goatepeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and midfielder Martin Zubimendi, who brought their expenses to £ 77 million.

Arsenal now continues with a deal to sign Noni Madueke from Chelsea, with personal conditions that have already been agreed. The winner of England will stay at Chelsea at the club World Cup prior to Sunday's final against Paris Saint-Germain.
But the waiting for Arteta's team is stimulated by a much coveted center Vooruit, because the latest reports suggest that conversations with Sporting Lisbon about Viktor Gyokeres have hit a wall because of a dispute about the preceding compensation.
Sporting demands an extra £ 5 million to what has been offered by Arsenal managers who have returned from a trip to the negotiating table in Lisbon. It is expected that new conversations will take place despite claims in the Portuguese media that the move was in danger.
A few weeks ago, Gyokees agreed personal conditions with the Gunners and will sign a five -year deal if a fee can be agreed between the clubs.
