Manchester United who signs Matheus Cunha has revealed that he has one of Marcus Rashford's Manchester United shirts in his house – days after taking his shirt number in the club.
The Brazilian was officially confirmed as the new NO10 from Man Utd on Tuesday – weeks after he had made his £ 62.5 million transfer of Wolves.
Marcus Rashford occupied the iconic shirt in Man Utd after Zlatan Ibrahimovic left the club during the 2017/18 season.
In the aftermath of his explosive fall -out with Ruben Amorim earlier this season, however, it became clear that the time of Rashford ended up in the club.
Cunha, 26, has always had an appreciation for the number ten, after he had previously carried it at earlier clubs Hertha Berlin and Wolves.
But in an interview with the media channels of his new club, Cunha placed a special emphasis on the inheritance of the song at Man Utd, including his respect for the departing Rashford.
He said: “I always think of this shirt – the one I think about is Wayne Rooney, I grew up playing him.
“Many players, from Nistelrooy, Ibrahimovic.
“I also exchanged shirts with Marcus Rashford, I have his shirt in my house.”
Cunha took 21 Premier League last season in 33 races for Wolves, which put him in the shop window when Amorim was looking for solutions for the wrestling output from his side.

The joint top scorers of Man Utd in the competition, Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes, yielded only eight goals last season.
So far, Cunha has been the tent of the Red Devils that signed the window and is structured to start his preparations for the season with the club.
Cunha said: “I am so excited to get started. When we start kicking the ball, I can be a little calmer and feel normal on the field.
“The first time I accepted the shirt will be something.”
Man Utd starts their preseason with a friendly against Leeds on July 19, before he goes to the US for the Premier League Summer Series at the end of the month.
