PSG and Chelsea play for all the marbles in Sunday’s Club World Cup final

Paris St. Germain (PSG) will be confronted on Sunday with Chelsea in the FIFAs renewed 32-teams Club World Cup, which concludes a month-long tournament in the United States that although the debates appeals to the weather and the calendar, drama has delivered on a nations' world cup.

The French and English parties, two of the most powerful and richest clubs in European football, will compete for the honor to be the first champions of the extensive competition of FIFA, created with the promise of a revolutionary club football and as a glittering curtain-dependent for the 2026 world cup in Northern America.

The final, planned for the afternoon in a sizzling Metlife Stadium in New Jersey, follows a tournament full of surprises, including shocks for Manchester City and Inter Milan by the Underdogs Al Hilal and Fluminense.

PSG has been in sparkling form and won seven of their last eight games without giving a single goal. The side of Luis Enrique showed their striking, fast, vertical style to devastating effect in a 4-0 demolition of Real Madrid in the semi-final. Two early sales, forced by PSG's ruthless press, led to an impressive lead of two goals within nine minutes.

The Parisians, fresh from their first Champions League triumph last month, chase their first world title behind. Manager Luis Enrique has revived the team to replace departing stars Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe by a youthful, dynamic team dedicated to his total football ethos.

Midfield orchestrator Vitinha has been crucial, while flying fullbacks offer Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi width and pace. In the front, Ballon d'Ordederinger Ousmane Dembele is shown and crucial goals and assists.

The defensive firmness of PSG is also remarkable, with their high turnover percentage – playing seven per hour on average – are instrumental during the competition.

Luis Enrique, who experienced Glory Barcelona to a Treble, has never lost a one -off club final ten years ago and has won 11 out of 11.

In the meantime, Chelsea has taken the longer road to the final and arrived in the US after winning Europe's third-level Conference League after a Sub-par Domestic campaign in which they hardly belonged to a top-four Premier League finish.

Chelsea has gathered in the tournament and the final gives manager Enzo Maresca a chance of repayment after being questioned due to struggles with a team that has cost Chelsea more than 1 billion euros ($ 1.17 billion) in recent years.

The middle tournament addition of Joao Pedro has been inspired, with the Brazilian forward net twice in their semi-final victory over his childhood fluminense.

He has combined well with Cole Palmer in Attack, while Chelsea's midfield trio of Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo excelled in the disintegration of game and exploitation rooms.

($ 1 = 0.8552 euros)
