“On July 9, 2025, the professional body of the French Financial Control Authority (DNCG) did not decided to relegate Olympique Lyonnais to Ligue 2. Consequently, Olympique Lyonnais will not be excluded from the 2025/26 UEFA Club competitions.
“Consequently, the CFCB First Chamber followed the assessment of the documentation submitted by Olympique Lyonnais and Crystal Palace and concluded that the clubs, on 1 March 2025, the Multi-Club ownership criteria in Art 5.01 of the UEFA Club competition regulations.
“For this reason, and in accordance with the provisions in art. 5.02, 5.03 and 5.04 of the UEFA Club Competitions Regulations, the CFCB First Chamber decided:
“To accept the admission of Olympique Lyonnais to UEFA Europa League 2025/26 and to reject the admission of Crystal Palace to the UEFA Europa League 2025/26 and to accept the admission of Crystal Palace to the 2025/26 UEFA Conference League.”
Crystal Palace will appeal to this, reports Sky Sports. Decision taken by UEFA because of rules for multiple club property.
Nottingham Forest was upgraded to the Europa League. Subject to a profession.
