The family of Atletico Madrid -defender Nahuel Molina recovers after a shocking series of events in their native Argentina. Fortunately, it seems that they have escaped the traumatic event, largely intact, at least physically.
The incident occurred in the family of Molina, where the father of Barbara Ochiuzzi told the events on Argentinian television. As explained by Marca, eight people in Balaclavas entered their house with weapons and began to threaten the family who were in the living room. Claudio Occhiuzzi was accompanied by his wife and two twins, who are only 10 years old.
Claudio then discussed that the attackers threatened him with a gun against his head and asked where he held cash and communicated by radios, suggested that it was a planned attack. Eventually, with the police who arrived on stage, he helped them to leave the back door. However, the police fell on stage and a shoot-out between the authorities and the attackers took place. So far, three of the eight have been arrested, whereby the police continue to investigate.
“When they crossed the door of the dining room, they started shooting at the police. There were more than ten or fifteen shots. One ran out and three went back inside. It was the moment of the biggest panic; I thought they would kill me because they might have warned them.”
“They tried to get through her back, so I went with them and tried to open the gate, which had a padlock. I was so nervous that I couldn't open it, and they continued to put the revolver against my head and threatened to pull the trigger.”
Both football players and their families are increasingly the target for organized crime. Former Barcelona man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his family were victims of an armed attack during his spell in Catalonia. In the meantime, Luis Diaz's father has also been kidnapped in recent years. Often, with the public knowledge of football players, they are the objectives of robberies while they do not play away from home.
