A number of Barcelona players have moved to Saudi Arabia in recent years, and now a prominent senior figure can do that too.
The will of Franck Kessie, Unai Hernandez and Pau Prim have exchanged Catalonia for the Midden -East, and his players in Europe that Saudi Pro League clubs want to poach -they are almost directors. Ramon Planes, formerly from Barcelona and Real Betis, came to Al-Eittihad last year, and his former colleague could now go to Al-Nassr.
As reported by Sport, Al-Nassr Barcelona wants to designate vice-president Rafa Yuste as their new CEO, and conversations between the two parties would be in an advanced stage. His work within Can Barca, and also the clientele he has collected over the years, is greatly appreciated at the Saudi Pro League Club.
Yuste has been in Barcelona for more than 20 years and has been number two for Joan Laporta since 2021. But his time at the club could now end, which is the last one that the president needs before he launches his re -election campaign, with the vote that will take place next year.
Al-Nassr are the most advanced in their efforts to name Yuste, but they are not the only club that acquires the 63-year-old. According to the report, Al-Ahli also wants to make him their CEO, although no official step has been taken at this stage.
If Yuste leaves, this will aggravate a difficult few weeks before Laporta. He remained very irritated by Nico Williams' decision to reject a move to Barcelona earlier this month, and to add this, the financial situation of the club is not as stable as he had hoped at this stage. As such, he will hope that his number two will reject this interest.
