Barcelona is determined to sign a new left wing player this summer, although their efforts at this stage have been far from successful. They had obviously considered that Nico Williams would participate, but after he had rejected them for signing a new 10-year contract with Athletic Club, they are back to.
For now a movement is difficult because of the well-documented financial misery of the club, but as soon as a return to the 1: 1-rule of La Liga is secured, the intention is to increase their pursuit of their top objective and at this stage that Marcus Rashford is.
Rashford can leave Manchester United this summer and Barcelona believes that he can be signed on a seasonal loan with an option to buy. Conversations are planned for the coming days, but there are internal doubts about the English international.
As reported by Javi Miguel, Barcelona Sporting Director Deco is not sure about a move for Rashford. He is not convinced that the man United Man would be the best addition to checks out, given that he is a big fan of Luis Diaz, who is another player on the shortlist of the Catalans.
However, it means that Deco starts to lose hope that Diaz can be signed this summer, whereby Barcelona leaves him as an option. This only increases the chances that Rashford is the man who has been strongly chased in the coming weeks.
Rashford stands for Barcelona, who is his favorite choice for a summer movement. There is no immediate time pressure to complete a deal, although Man United wants to change it as quickly as possible. But they cannot do anything until the player himself gives the green light, what he will only do with the La Liga champions.
