Marcus Rashford is known as a move to Barcelona this summer, but there is reportedly a big problem with a potential deal.
Rashford, 27, has been in Manchester United since the age of seven, but said in December that he was 'ready for a new challenge'.
He then spent the second half of the season in Aston Villa and scored four goals in 17 games. Villa, however, decided not to sign Rashford permanently at the end of that loan saying, and therefore he returned to Old Trafford.
Rashford is still contract with United until June 2028 and is supposed to earn more than £ 300,000 a week.
United wants to get him from their wage account and are open to offers, but apparently the enormous wages of the player to limit his options.
According to Javi Miguel, there is interest from some members of the Barcelona transfer committee, but the journalist suggests that sports director Deco is not convinced.
Miguel tweeted this week: 'Deco remains the most important obstacle in the Rashford operation.
'There are still important discrepancies in the sports committee with regard to the attacking reinforcement. The priority is now on departure to free up salary space. '
Deco, who won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2010, has been the sports director of Barca since August 2023.
His most expensive signing so far is Dani Olmo, who arrived from RB Leipzig last summer for a fee in the £ 50 million region.
United would probably have a smaller fee for Rashford.
Barca is also strongly connected this summer with the interest in Luis Diaz in Liverpool, while Bayern Munich are also of the Colombian.
