Vinicius’s Madrid future in limbo as contract negotiations stall amid poor form

The future of Vinicius Junior in Real Madrid has been questioned after reports that suggest that his continuous contract negotiations with the Spanish club have stalled.

After a stellar campaign 2023-24 that saw him finish second in the Ballon d'Or classification, the Brazilian was forced to adjust last year while Real welcomed the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.

Vinicius finally ended the season with 11 competition goals from 24 Starts, because Carlo Ancelotti was unable to use his latest Blockbuster Arrival in even more domestic glory.

Xabi Alonso arrived in the Bernabeu this summer to replace the Italian, and reports that the former Liverpool midfielder is not impressed by Vinicius' performance in recent weeks.

On Wednesday, the club from the club World Cup was dumped in the semi-final stage after a 4-0 defeat against PSG, where Alonso took off his frustrations with regard to the performance of his team after the game.

This dissatisfaction could be set on broader consequences with regard to the future of Vinicius in the Spanish capital.

According to a report from the Spanish outlet El Chiringuito, planned contract discussions between the two parties have been stuck in recent weeks.

Reports claim that a contract was drawn up a few months ago with plans to be completed prior to the coming campaign.

However, Real should not yet contact the proposed deal, where Vinicius is in the same way no hurry to move conversations.

During his shimmering spell in Madrid, the 25-year-old is consistently linked to becoming the latest high-profile star who joins the Saudi Pro League.

Vinicius is said to have met civil servants from the competition, namely Vice President Saad Al Lazeez, in Prague in 2023 while trying to sell him along the way.

The conversations between the two parties have reportedly continued since then, with the Gulf State willing to offer him a five -year -old deal worth £ 830 million to join Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

Allegedly the deal would also see the attacker as an ambassador for the World Cup in 2034 in the country.
