Derrick Lewis put Controversial Tallison Teixeira within a few seconds in the main event of UFC Nashville on Saturday evening.
As recently as last September, the unbeaten Brazilian had not even made his name on the Contender series of Dana White. But with eight first round Finishes, including a stunner about Justin Tafa within 35 seconds after his debut, Teixeira was quickly at a main event slot and a top ten opponent.
Teixieira traveled to Nashville to accept a Lewis more motivated than ever who looked at a peak at a low point of 10 years when the couple weighed. And in a heavyweight division with few challengers for the newly beaten title of Tom Aspinall, both men knew that a victory would place them in solid stable run for a title run.

After a three -month training camp, Derrick Lewis almost looked emotional when he returned to the cage for the first time since May last year. The gigantic knock outpartist Tallison Teixeira, who had never been in the first round in his entire career, stood over the horsel corner.

A disrespectful glove tap from Lewis kicked the game off and the 'Black Beast' rose rapidly to land a flying body staircase. After being injured by Teixeira, he landed a massive bomb that dropped the Brazilian.
And after a flurry of punches, the Texeira seemed to get up. But the fight was quickly stopped by referee Jason Herzog.
As a result, the unbeaten record of Teixeira disappeared into a little controversy when Lewis went to Cageside to ask Dana White for a title fight when he pulled out his tribes in his usual party. He even received a phone call from President Donald Trump immediately in the Octagon after his victory.

In an attempt to finally make his enormous power potential, Derrick Lewis really submitted the work in preparation for this UFC Nashville headliner. He tilted the scales at 261LB for the fight and marked his first time at such a low weight since his UFC debut more than ten years earlier.
Lewis is known for his wild knockout -outsides, but also struggles with his weight and often comes out of shape for fighting. He has asked not to give any events in the hope that he can avoid a fight of five rounds.
But he looked great when he stepped on the scales on Friday afternoon. Teixeira, despite the fact that it was four centimeters longer, actually weighed two pounds less as the couple came across and their size difference became clear.
