After the rejection of Williams, Barcelona set up a shortlist with two men: Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford. Both players are very popular, but the favorite of sports director Deco is the Liverpool man. However, recent reports have suggested that it will be moved because of pessimism about their ability to close a deal, and that is why Rashford has emerged.
However, Marca has revealed that Barcelona still believes that Diaz can be signed, despite the fact that they are not willing to pay Liverpool's current asking price. Club-to-club conversations will not take place for a while, because the Catalans respect the mourning period of the Premier League champions after the tragic death of Diogo Jota, but they are working on a deal within Can Barca.
It will be difficult for Barcelona to sign Diaz – not only because of Liverpool's attitude, but also in view of the fact that Bayern Munich insisting to take him to Bavaria.
