Liverpool is considering a movement for Real Madrid's Rodrygo, who has fallen out of the grace under Xabi Alonso, but will only act if one of their current attackers leaves Anfield
Liverpool is willing to enter the Rodrygo race, whose Real Madrid Future seems incredibly insecure, with Arsenal heavily connected to the Brazilian.
There is a new manager at the helm in the Bernabeu, with Xabi Alonso Carlo Ancelotti replacing, who had previously put his confidence in Rodrygo. The playing time of the attacker has fallen enormously and he lost his starting place in the summer.
Arsenal wants to strengthen their forward line, but is in line with the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea. It is still too considered whether their interest in Rodrygo would see Cool, which could open the door for Liverpool if they had to fill a gap in their team.
RMC Sport reports that the Reds will consider making a move, but only if they lose Luis Diaz this summer. The Colombian continues to be connected to meadows new as Barcelona and Bayern Munich Circle, but they want to keep the winger despite his contract that ends.
Diaz has two more years about his deal and has been open about his conversations with those in Anfield, but so far no agreement has been found about his future. He told the Colombian influencer Mauricio Gomez: “We are there, negotiating. We will see what can be achieved, for us and for the club. We will try to do our best and make the best decision.”
Earlier this week, Real was humiliated by PSG in the semi-final of the Club World Cup and Rodrygo looked at the bank's match, where he was for the fifth consecutive game. Los Blancos does not let him go cheaply with Uol Esporte in Brazil and claims that they want offers from around € 100 million (£ 86 million) before they consider cashing in.
Real boss Alonso was questioned about his decision to leave Rodrygo again and said: “The fact that he no longer played is a game-per game decision. The way it went, we needed another player. There were no decisions about the future in this entire championship.”
At the end of the season, Diaz claimed that there was nothing unusual to assess his options while considering his next step, but underlined his happiness in Anfield after proving how influence he can be with 17 goals in all competitions on the way to the Premier League title.
He said: “We talk to clubs, it is normal in the market and we look at what is best for us. I am waiting to see what is happening. I am very happy in Liverpool, I always said that. They welcomed me very well from the first day. If they give us a good innovation or I will stay there for two years, I am happy. Now it is for them.”
