Sunday's La Liga action saw four great games – packed with goals – capped off by a sensational comeback win for Atletico Madrid.
It was double Basque joy in the first games, as Real Sociedad cruised to victory at Leganes and Athletic Club won at home against Villarreal.
There was drama in the air during the evening clashes, as Osasuna held Alaves in Pamplona, before Los Rojiblancos won a seven-goal encounter in the Spanish capital.
Here's how Sunday's action unfolded…
Leganes 0-3 Real Sociedad
La Real extended their winning run to four games in all competitions with three goals and three points in Madrid.
Brais Mendez got the ball rolling for the visitors after 17 minutes when he tapped in from close range.
Before half-time, both teams missed great opportunities, but it was the away team that only managed to get the result late.
Substitute Ander Barrenetxea headed home seconds after coming on and captain Mikel Oyarzabal curled in.
Athletics club 2-0 Villarreal
Athletic Club made it five wins in a row thanks to a 2-0 victory over Villarreal in Bilbao.
Aitor Paredes headed home from a corner in the hosts' first chance of the match at the Estadio San Mames.
Villarreal then saw an immediate equalizer ruled out by VAR, with Julen Agirrezabala in inspired form for the hosts either side of the break.
Despite being in second place for the second half periods, the home side took one key chance late on as Inaki Williams raced clear and fired home.
Osasuna 2-2 Alaves
The goals rained down during a downpour in Pamplona as Osasuna drew for the third consecutive time in the competition.
Kike Garcia headed the visitors into the lead inside the opening 60 seconds, before the experienced striker was denied a brilliant second by a narrow offside error.
Ante Budimir forced the equalizer just after half-time and Ruben Garcia's free kick deflected and gave Osasuna the lead.
But the final word belonged to Garcia as he poked home a late equalizer.
Atletico Madrid 4-3 Sevilla
The final match of the evening produced a stunner in the capital as Antoine Griezmann scored twice to seal victory for the home side.
Rodrigo De Paul's long-range effort made for a strong start to the match and Dodi Lukebakio scored the equalizer.
The pace showed no signs of slowing before the break as Issac Romero burst through Atletico Madrid's defense to reach home.
Julian Alvarez was denied a VAR goal before half-time and Juanlu Sánchez made it 3-2 after 57 minutes – Sevilla looked on course for victory.
Griezmann got the home side back on track just five minutes later, with a crisp finish and Samuel Lino's rocket leveled the match with ten minutes to go.
As the seconds ticked by, Griezmann stole the headlines in extra time to break the hearts of Sevilla.
