Dana White comments on Stephen Thompson’s future after third UFC loss in a row at UFC Nashville

Former UFC title -Uitdager Stephen Thompson could be in sport at the end of his career, but Dana White hopes that he will continue.

UFC fan favorite Stephen Thompson returned to the Octagon in UFC Nashville last Saturday and took on Gabriel Bonfim on the Undercard.

'Wonderboy' hoped to return to the winning column after back-to-back losing against Shavkat Rakhmonov and Joaquin Buckley, with his last victory against Kevin Holland in 2022.

Nevertheless, the UFC veteran lost a controversial split decision after a horror injury to his tibia.

Dana White hopes that Thompson will not retire after the third loss in a row

UFC boss Dana White has traditionally been pronounced when it comes to hunters who keep fighting despite the fact that they clearly show regression as they get older.

When three UFC veterans lost at UFC 310, White begged that all three of them had to retire because of their age and the way in which their career has broken out in recent years.

Although 'Wonderboy' suffered his third loss in a row and 1-5 was in his last six fighting, White claimed that he would like Thompson to continue with his career in premier promotion.

“I don't know, that's up to him. Yes (I would like to see that he is going on), he looked great tonight, Wonderboy looked great tonight, for a man who is a traditional war artist, kickboker, does damn good work off the ground and defends the Takedown and not from entering,” White explained after after after.

“He is one of the nicest people on the planet,” he continued.

The 42-year-old has been an old competition in the Welterweight division and clearly has a lot to give to the sport, but he has clearly deteriorated in recent years.

'Wonderboy' Thompson breaks his silence after losing UFC Nashville

After his loss, Thompson went to social media to break his silence, to thank his fans for their continuous support and also to thank the UFC doctors for sewing his tibia because it was 'split into the bone'.

In the future, Thompson has stated that his prime focus is on healing his tibia and possibly making a little more crash conditioning, not commenting on a potential pension time line.
