Barcelona has to raise money to return to La Ligas 1: 1 rule, which will help them register new signing sessions. The departure of Alex Valle and Ansu Fati helped their bid, and with Pablo Torre to leave Imminal, attention is now aimed at the next set of candidates.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Andreas Christensen are leading contenders for sale, and another that falls into this category is Pau Victor. The 23-year-old attacker, who was signed from Girona last summer, had difficulty seeing a lot of action during the 2024-25 campaign, and a new winger arrived that he can leave.
A number of La Liga clubs have shown interest in Victor and Sport has reported that Barcelona will only consider selling him this summer. They had initially been open to a loan, but a transfer is now the only option for parties who want to sign him.
Victor was drawn around € 3 million last summer, but they are willing to accept offers in the region of € 10 million. Although this would be a relatively low price, they are expected to try to maintain a significant sale clause and/or the option to sign it again in the future.
It makes sense for Barcelona to separate with Victor, given that he was not too impressive in the limited minutes he played last season. In combination with the fact that La Masia Dani Rodriguez and Jan Virgili have that insist on a first team place for the new campaign, all parties will acknowledge that a clean break is needed.
It is still to be seen where Victor ends up, but at this stage it is likely that he will stay in La Liga. And if so, he will hope to get a good chance in the top flight of Spain.
